As well as enforcing policies on education reform and student financial aid, the Department of Education also maintains data and research on the US education system.
We hesitate to call it the Department of "Education" under the current secretary Linda McMahon, who has no teaching experience or qualifications — only deep pockets and friends in the highest office of the land. Her "leadership" is nothing short of a disaster to the American people, particularly immigrants and other marginalized people.
