Lori Chavez-DeRemer, the president's pick for secretary, is a surprising choice as a Latine woman with a track record of pro-labor and pro-union policies. While Lori and the department don't make as many headlines compared to other Cabinet positions, many Project 2025 initiatives targeting the department have been implemented.
